I'm using Xfinity's mesh network but it's not performing well. Moving between rooms causes a 15-second Wi-Fi drop, which is frustrating, especially when doing VOIP or video calls. I've heard positive reviews about Google Wi-Fi, and it also works as a Google Home if that matters to you.

Thanks! It's helpful to know how to bypass Xfinity's configuration. I hope they improve their offerings, though it seems unlikely they'd prioritize this.

Google WiFi (now Nest Wifi) performs exceptionally well. It’s installed at my home, my parents’ residence, and my business. It functions effortlessly. The signal from just one device is remarkably strong, surpassing any router I’ve used before. With the three-pack, you’ll easily cover 3000 square feet. Position the main router where it should be, and place the additional units throughout the house for comprehensive coverage. Keep in mind they only provide one Ethernet port for LAN, so a switch will be necessary unless you already have one.

My sister has the Google WiFi as stated above. It works well enough for there purposes. Keep in mind that with a mesh solution you have a main router and satellite units. The reason I bring this up is due to the fact connecting a router to a router will cause double NAT. Keep in mind the Xfinity box acts as a router as well. So anything connected to the mesh WiFi will suffer double NAT, unless the main device can be run in AP mode (not sure if this is an option), the xfinity box is put in to bridge mode, or you replace the xfinity box with a standard cable modem.

My Amplifier system runs exceptionally well with great flexibility. The satellites can't handle more than 80 down links, but stability matters most to me. Since my gaming rig is close to the modem, that's a plus. Updates also come out regularly.
