I purchased a new gaming PC equipped with an MSI B450 mortar max and an RX 5700 XT. It comes with Ryzen 3600X and 16 GB of ADATA 3600 MHz RAM. Occasionally, while performing light tasks such as opening Windows Explorer or experiencing Chrome freezes, the system restarts and sometimes closes any game I open after a few minutes. After restarting, it works again, but I’m unsure what’s causing this issue. I’ve already sent the RAM for return and they confirmed it’s fine. I suspect the CPU might be overclocked—since the factory setting wasn’t changed—and that could be affecting stability. The temperatures for both CPU and GPU remain below 85°C. To troubleshoot further, I can check the temperatures again or perform a stress test to see if the problem persists under load.
