You're just starting out with PCs and have a question about cloning a hard drive to an SSD. It sounds like you're looking into transferring your 512GB Samsung SSD to your upcoming system using a 1TB HDD as the source. That’s a common setup for upgrading storage. There are several free and reliable tools you can use for this purpose, such as Macrium Reflect Free, Acronis True Image (free version), or Clonezilla. Just make sure to back up important data before proceeding. If you're unsure about the process, checking forums or tutorials on those platforms might help clarify things. Let me know if you need more details!

Macrium Reflect is the tool you're using. You can explore many discussions about it here, especially on the forum. Try the rescue USB created by Reflect to clone your offline system. A better choice would be the same program with the same approach—bootable USB—but create the image on a different third HDD and restore it to your SSD for a backup.
