I've set up a VPS with Ubuntu running Minecraft. I need to automate backups to Google Drive, but only have full SSH access. I want two backup copies running simultaneously, keeping one active at all times. Performance is important, so I can disable auto-backup and handle it manually if needed. Direct transfer from the VPS to the cloud is essential to avoid slow downloads. Any method or tool you recommend would be appreciated. System specs: CPU - Intel Xeon E5-2609 @ 2.40GHz, RAM 8GB.

You haven't tried a VPS before, what's the monthly price? Wouldn't it be cheaper to use an HP server for about $100? I'm not a big fan of cloud services, so I might be a bit biased—please check if I'm right.

You need to cover the cost of keeping the server running around the clock and deal with the constant noise it makes.

I haven't tried it myself, but ODrive seems like the right choice for you. It lets you connect any folder directly to your Google Drive automatically. While you might be able to log into your Google account and add a folder in File Explorer, that process wouldn't work without manual dragging.

I understand, I’ll look into Odrive. As mentioned in the discussion, I only have SSH access, so I can only use the command line. Not sure how to navigate with just the command line. Thanks. I’ll leave the thread open for any further ideas.
