Hi there, your setup seems a bit puzzling. The switch worked well initially, but after adjusting the download/upload speed limit to 1000Mbps, it stopped receiving internet from your router. It’s possible the default configuration or network settings are conflicting with the new limits. Have you checked if the router is configured to allow traffic at that speed? Also, ensure the switch is properly connected and powered on. Let me know if you need further guidance!

Did you configure the Cisco port to Auto MDIX? The appropriate command should be set. Also, consider enabling auto speed detection (or what they refer to as auto negotiation). You likely verified that the device connected to that port supports 1000Base-T and the cable is compatible.

All connections and wires work with 1000Base-T. I’m going to check out the MDIX details because I’m not sure what it means.

I also overlooked that the issue lies with the connection between my router and switch.

It limits the output to 10Mbps automatically

Consider using an alternative cable for verification. Additionally, MDIX should detect whether the cable is a crossover or identify the endpoint as a computer or another switch, including its expected pinout.
