Audio sync problems Issues with timing and alignment in sound playback.
Hey, I'm dealing with a 3-week-old Windows 10 setup and have been facing audio sync problems in videos, especially on YouTube. The audio often lags a few seconds behind the video after just a minute or two, which is really bothersome. This issue occurs across Chrome, Opera, and Edge. They resolved it yesterday by clearing all audio devices in the Device Manager and rebooting, but it's back now. Anyone have a long-term solution or similar experiences? Note: I've updated CPU, motherboard, and RAM since installation, and everything else is still working fine. My specs are 9900k, Maximus XI Hero, 32GB RAM, and the rest of the updates are up to date. DxDiag.txt is included for reference.
Restart the installation of both audio and sound drivers, including chipset ones. It seems the issue is with the drivers themselves—not the system. You can safely remove outdated or unused drivers using a careful tool like Ghostbuster.
I'm experiencing the same problem on 10 with a Schiit Uber2 (users MS audio drivers). I didn't have it a few months ago, but it's happening now when using Ubuntu. Please let me know what worked for you. I've checked audio drivers, high performance profile, rolled back AMD GPU drivers, and uninstalled Equalizer APO so far. No luck yet. I plan to try more solutions this weekend.
I examined all possible solutions I could imagine and discovered the fix. In the advanced properties of output devices, the format was configured as 2 channels, 24 bits, 48000 Hz instead of the standard 16-bit. Reverting it to 16-bit resolved the issue. What’s interesting is that I never adjusted those settings, and I don’t recall any other changes that might have helped.
