Working on a PC with audio problems, Audio functioned perfectly before. Recently, a red "x" appeared next to the speaker icon. It seems to be related to an Intel CPU and a Radeon GPU. Attempted to install GPU drivers and Realtek drivers, but nothing appeared in Device Manager except for AMD-related items. Tried different headsets via wired and Bluetooth. Windows update? Repair? Any advice? Also checked the HD audio cable, which is fine.

This indicates that no audio output device was found. If there are no audio devices listed and "unknown devices" isn't present in Device Manager, it suggests the audio device is faulty or malfunctioning, causing the PC to assume it doesn't exist.

You can try the steps mentioned, I’ll wait for the screenshot of the Windows version. Also, you’ve tested two different headsets—both wired and wireless.

The sound devices appear listed under "Audio Inputs and Outputs" in the Device Manager, not as controllers. It seems your motherboard's sound chip drivers might need reinstallation or could be faulty. Consider downloading the latest drivers from your motherboard's support page.
