I recently upgraded to a 3070 from a 1070, and since then my audio on the beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO - 250 OHM LE DT 770 Pro 250 ohm has been problematic. I've fixed issues with drivers and troubleshooting in Windows, but now my sound quality is very weak. I'm unsure what to do next.
Switch to the correct output device in the Windows audio settings. For 250 Ohms, a dedicated quality sound card is recommended. It’s hard to find specifications for GPU audio DACs and compare them well. The method of delivering audio to headphones also matters—likely HDMI or DP to monitor connected to headphones. You might need to upgrade the HDMI or DP cable to match your new GPUs. I haven’t explored this area much, so I’m making an educated guess. A dedicated card would provide the best sound quality for those headphones.

Initially set up DDU through the Google store. After installing, enter safe mode to allow the app to remove the driver automatically. Once back to normal mode, run a scan and uninstall the driver. Install the updated version and restart once more. While power requirements aren’t a concern, newer cards may not deliver optimal performance. Specifications for different models are hard to find. Most audio solutions use Realtek, and many (except a few) fall short above 80 Ohm.
