I recently purchased an Acer N15Q9 Chromebook and began experimenting with it. After discovering ChromeOS was not satisfactory, I decided to install Linux. I used the resources from mrchromebox to update the UEFI firmware and set up Ubuntu 22.10. Everything functions properly except for audio playback, which intermittently stops and produces a loud buzzing noise from the speakers. I suspect this is due to software issues, such as video sources like YouTube clips causing buffering. The computer remains operational, but audio stops until the source is terminated. I also tried Ubuntu 22.04.1, though it migrated to PipeWire in 22.10 and still had the same problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm facing the same problem and landed here... any solutions found? Others have suggestions too? Using Linux Mint Cinnamon on a HP Chromebook 14 G4 with the newest firmware from mcrchromebox.
