Audio issues with line-out ports on Ubuntu 17.10

I observed a problem with my gaming PC (specs listed). When I link my speaker system through the line-out port on the motherboard back, the audio becomes unstable. Using headphones works without issues, but connecting speakers to the front audio output causes problems. On one monitor connected via HDMI to the GTX 1050, everything functions properly. Since I have alternative solutions, it seems manageable, but I aim to fix this for smoother performance. Note – this issue doesn’t occur on Windows (dual boot).

I don’t have access to current driver listings, but you can check official repositories or community forums for Ubuntu motherboard drivers. If you’re having audio problems, ensure your system meets the required specifications and consider updating drivers.

It's strange because it was detected, yet the front panel audio works perfectly. That suggests the issue might be elsewhere...

Sure, I'm connecting the HDMI output directly to the GPU and using the headphone jack on a monitor to connect to the speakers. It functions properly.

I’d just go with that. It seems like a strange Linux feature that really confuses you until you understand it’s straightforward. I’m not sure, though.
