Last Thursday I sold a MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC on Facebook, and before that I always verified everything was in order—no bent pins, no cracks, etc.—so there were no problems. But when the buyer reached out late at night saying the motherboard’s audio was broken, I wasn’t sure how to proceed: could I fix it myself, should I request an RMA from MSI, or would I have to accept a refund?

Digital or analog sound? Either is possible. They connect through a device that processes the audio signal.

I’m not sure. He mentioned the audio isn’t working.

It seems like you're expressing frustration about a situation where someone damaged your item and then made a complaint. You might want to clarify your concerns or consider escalating the issue if needed.
