I was testing Borderlands 3 last night and chose the Slaughter Shaft mission, which features numerous waves of bandits and a lot of explosions and sound effects. After completing the mission, the audio started to malfunction—certain effects like gunshots and shield breaks became muffled, and this issue continued even after all enemies were defeated. It also appeared when switching to another level. The only solution was to restart the game. Then an error popped up with a long message saying "FATAL EXCEPTION." After reloading, everything worked again. Does anyone else experience this audio problem in Borderlands 3? Are there any steps you recommend to fix it? This glitch seems unique to BL3; I’m not sure if updating drivers will help since the chipset driver is already up-to-date and the GPU driver is quite recent.

did you change the chipset via the webstie or geforce? likewise with your gpu driver—always use the official site. Updating audio drivers is also recommended; realtek audio is a common choice. Check the device manager for options.
