Hey, I was setting up a sound mod for Skyrim, but it seems to messed up the audio. I tried wiping all my mods and reinstalling the game. Fallout New Vegas (which is linked to Skyrim in programming) still functions fine. Could you give me more details? Thanks.

I didn't use a mod manager; I simply placed the files in the data folder. No files were overwritten during the installation.

I applied NMM and selected overwrite all. It seems the audio mod was also intended to replace something. After reinstalling the game and removing all mods, it worked.

It seems the files aren't being detected even though they're in the correct location. Try downloading a different sound mod and installing it. Check if those new sounds are recognized. If not, there might be a console command to adjust audio settings. I don’t recognize that detail off the top of my head.

I utilize SKSE. I also invested roughly 90 minutes attempting to understand this.

Well, it seems this video is the only solution I have in mind. Actually, your audio might just need a bit more polish after everything you've done.

I'll attempt it again after the reinstall. However, your Skyrim doesn't produce any audio at all.

IT Crowd moment: When I start up the launcher the sound is missing and the prompt to increase it is not there. Once I start up the game it is... I feel so stupid now.
