Hey, sometimes my PC acts up and stops making any sound. Even when music plays, the volume mixer shows nothing coming out. When I log in again, it reports an issue with Cortana or the Start Menu and asks me to sign out. This keeps happening, so I end up restarting. After using it for a while, it repeats the same problem. What’s going on?

The issue seems to stem from a corrupted operating system. Before reinstalling everything, check for conflicting audio software in the task manager. If found, adjust or remove them. Otherwise, reformatting is the recommended solution.

Can't locate anything. Appreciate the backup plan. Feeling inclined to test 8 once more.

It seems the problem might be related to soundcards. Have you checked if your graphics drivers are up to date? It could also be one of the many lingering issues in Windows 10. We might not be able to assist further. ... *GLANCING AT YOU, MICROSOFT*

It seems the issue might be linked to Avast! I've removed it, and my system feels smoother now. UNINSTALL AVAST
