Hi,
I'm trying to keep the audio in my racing sim consistent. I set it to stereo and it works fine during the race, but after shutdown and restart the next day it switches to 5.1 surround. I have to reconfigure every time. All audio programs are uninstalled and my sound card is disabled. I own a Sound Blaster ZX sound card, but I'm not sure if that's related. I've searched without success. Anyone with experience should know what to do.

Ensure your operating system is current and your motherboard BIOS matches the latest release.
You may benefit from removing the sound card drivers and then reinstalling them manually via an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
Regarding driver updates, the link provided contains two versions: one from 2021 and another from 2024. You might want to use the 2021 version first. If this doesn’t fix the problem, proceed with uninstalling and then reinstalling using the 2024 version.
