Audio buffering, cutting, and distortion begin when initiating a screenshare, following GPU and PSU changes.
Hey there, I'm facing some audio issues. Whenever I begin a screenshare or capture NVIDIA Broadcast in OBS Studio, my sound cuts off for a few seconds and then gets distorted. At the start of this week I upgraded from an Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 OC to an Asus TUF RTX 3090 OC and changed my Corsair RM850X PSU to a Seasonic Prime GX-1000 ATX PSU. I've already tried DDU without success. I have a GoXLR and reinstalled the drivers. I've attached a sample audio file showing the problems, especially when using NVIDIA Broadcast Source in OBS Studio. The issue gets even worse during screen shares. Hope you can help me, Kind Regards Zombiefleischer SoundIssues.mp3
I conducted some additional testing and research. These audio problems only occur when my streamshare Preview is displayed actively. For example, when Discord shows a preview of my screenshare, the audio issues start, then I switch to another window where Discord’s streampreview is paused to conserve resources, and my audio problems disappear. I believe the issue relates to the Windows screen capture technology not functioning properly with something from my graphics card. I’m hoping there’s a solution that doesn’t require reinstalling Windows, which would be very inconvenient given all the programs I use.
