Hi everyone, I'm working on assembling a new PC and running into some problems. I installed the CPU, GPU, RAM, and AI accelerator onto the motherboard, but when I try to power it up, none of the fans start. The motherboard's RGB and GPU LED are both lit, which is confusing. Here are my specs: PSU: Corsair RMx 850W CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X Motherboard: ROG Strix B650E-F GPU: ROG Strix 4080 I've double-checked the power cables, re-plugged them, and even tried a different slot in the PSU. Nothing changed. I've also reset the RAM. Still nothing. I've inspected the motherboard for bent pins, but none were found. Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Have you attempted using a screwdriver to jump it? It might be that your power button is malfunctioning.

The 7900x includes built-in graphics. Are there any fans running, or does it start up without them? You mentioned not hearing any fans spin, so is it booting normally or entering the BIOS?

Original statement summarized: Some users believe BIOS should offer choices like disabling the integrated GPU or using PCIe graphics. Many face problems with 4080 chips, possibly due to drivers or BIOS limitations. Opinions vary on whether RTX3xxx and AM4 are still viable. The author continues using a 5900X/RTX3060ti setup while others test newer hardware, finding it challenging. Updated March 1, 2023 by An0maly_76.

I encountered problems with my 4080. The PC mistakenly treated the iGPU as the main one, even though the 4080 was functional. This caused crashes in games, so I had to turn off the iGPU in the BIOS settings. My MSi afterburner also showed the iGPU instead of the actual GPU. After a B650 TUF motherboard update that added RTX 4000 support, it seems a BIOS update might be necessary for 4080 users on AM5 platforms.
