Hi, i'm setting up a build using only integrated graphics, with an i3-12100 and a B660 motherboard. I have just an HDD and an SSD. Currently, I'm connected to a Cooler Master PSU, which is an older model but still functional. It has a 24-pin + 6-pin PCIe plus two 4-pin connectors, with two yellow and two black wires. I was considering using two 4-pin connectors on the 8-pin connector close to the CPU, but only one fits properly. The other one seems incompatible. Can I still boot this system with just one 4-pin plug in? Is it safe to do so? The PSU specifications are 12v-23Amp and supports both 5V and 3.3V at 100W.

There are no suitable <300w models available. It would be better to choose something with at least 400w. For my personal iGPU setups I use 550w units. Super Flower Leadex III Gold 550w, EVGA Supernova G3 550w and Cooler Master V-series V550 Gold

Cooler Master offers numerous budget, outdated, or discarded power supply units that aren't suitable for any system. The precise model number of the PSU is likely available.
It's probably correct.
A good PSU ensures safety, while a poor one leaves you vulnerable.

That's the Elite 350 version 3. The PSU is cooler, master Elite 350 version 3... 12V output is 22 Amp. Even though it's not for gaming or heavy work most of the time? I didn't mention that I have a 750 Ti laying around and might use it there... but gaming? I don't think so... if I want to play, I'll buy a better GPU and of course upgrade the PSU then.

I wrote the model on the page above. I believe it's either 350 or 380.

exact model number: mpw-3501-asaan
just tested and the system started working. however, when the system is off, I notice a low-pitched noise coming from the PSU. i'm unsure if this is significant, so i tried turning it off once, then restarted windows before asking whether it matters.

Thanks a lot, but I'm unsure about what Tier E means. Unfortunately, this link won't work for me.

It's a subpar grade. Tier A is the best, while Tier F is the worst. Your PSU is Tier E. It's not exceptional, just a poor PSU. Very low quality with bad voltage regulation and insufficient protections. I think anything below Tier D isn't advisable for any system.
