Attempting to set up Windows 11
You created an ISO for Windows 11 and saved it to a USB stick, but you're encountering problems during the upgrade from Windows 10 while preserving your data and applications. Try using a different USB drive or ensure the USB is properly connected before starting the installation. If the issue persists, check the USB port compatibility and consider using a known-good ISO source.
Windows 11 is under active development, so certain functionalities may not be available yet. You might have encountered a feature that isn’t present.
Your system is more than a decade old? I can retrieve a screenshot from your Windows Insider update page.
My PC is quite new, you can view its details on the profile page. The issue stems from the absence of a TPM or secure boot feature. Initially, it didn’t receive any insider updates, but I adjusted certain settings in regedit, which now allows updates but prevents access to the official Windows 11 release. Even then, it blocks upgrades because of the lack of TPM. I made a Windows 11 ISO and added bypass instructions for TPM checks similar to what Linus did. However, it still refuses to upgrade while keeping my files and applications intact, though it permits custom updates—like a fresh install that wipes everything.
I can't directly access your system or take a screenshot. However, you can open the System Information panel by searching "sysinfo" in the Start menu or using the search bar, then press Enter. Let me know if you need help interpreting the information once you have it!
