It might be related to the fact that you're using a Mac and added Linux. You could try using an Ethernet-to-USB adapter to connect your device.

I installed the drivers, and everything functioned properly. However, the connection to Wi-Fi still isn’t working. When I access Network settings, it prompts me to reach out to my software vendor and mentions that the network manager must be active, but I’m unsure how to resolve this issue.
