Hello all you wanderfull people. So first let me explain the setup. A fiber cable comes through the wall and connects to what i guess is a modem. Then a cable is run from this modem to a (unmaneged) switch, my pc is connected to this switch. Then for wifi a cable is run from the switch to the router. Now, since my pc isnt connected to a Router theres no control panel to port forward in. I have tried connecting my PC to the router but no luck. So tell me, what do i need to do? i was thinking of connecting the modem directly to the modem and the connecting the switch to the router. Would this work?

I believe it's the same device as the modem, functioning as a dual-purpose unit. Check your gateway in the network settings—this should be the router's IP address.

I don't have access to specific details about the model of the box the fiber cable connects to. Could you provide more information or check the documentation?

That’s different—I have two separate boxes: a router and a modem. It shows "residential gateway" on the modem, but nothing appears when I connect my PC directly to the router or use the default gateway address. It looks like TRP01-B, but no results found online.

The home gateway features a web interface for port forwarding. A network diagram of the router should likely be omitted.

Attempted to link the PC straight to the modem without using a web interface—no configuration options available. It appears the device isn’t functioning properly. I’ve connected the modem to the router and then to the switch; perhaps the switch is interfering with the connection.

This indicates the port is open, which means it's accessible for communication or data transfer.
