Attempting to play PUBG on outdated systems
I have some equipment I’d like to assemble for a friend who’s staying with me due to some home issues. I’m planning to either purchase upgraded parts or make it with what I already have. I’d like to know if PUBG can run smoothly on this setup—specifically, with the CPU you mentioned, the GPU, 2GB of RAM, and the memory configuration. If it doesn’t meet expectations, what minimum requirements would you suggest? Thanks for your advice! I’m hoping to be able to play PUBG and help him get comfortable with PCMR.
Pubg is a challenging game to handle. I wouldn't play it on anything lower than an i3. It might work on the c2q if you modify it, but it's a heavy CPU user. Good luck! The 750 should suffice.
At 720p you'd likely see a drop to 60fps. The bare minimum would be an i5 processor—used or new, anything above an i5 2400 works. You'd need around 8GB of RAM in dual channels and a GTX 1050 as a baseline. If you want smooth 1080p at full settings, consider an older system for a LAN rig, or a streaming PC later on. Alternatively, you could pass it along to a friend.
It works on my friends' GTX 1080 and i7 7700K at 30 fps. The game feels quite unstable.
You're unlikely to enjoy the game much with these specifications.
