I recently purchased Far Cry 4 on Steam during a discount period. Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware the game wouldn’t run smoothly on a dual-core processor without a specific patch. I installed the fix and attempted to use it, but it doesn’t appear to be working for me. When I try to launch the patch, nothing happens—no error messages or window. I really hope I didn’t waste the $47! Thanks!

According to my understanding, there seems to be just one option.

Have you explored the dual-core injection program?

That's the only one I'm aware of, the program never appears.

FC4 and Unity aren't worth it at all. I won't purchase these games even if they're just a few dollars. Everyone should just ignore them and go elsewhere.

That's quite an observation. It makes me reconsider using this CPU in a project for someone else.

It seems likely related to being on Windows technical preview.
