Hello! I'm trying to merge a 5Gbps and two 2.5Gbps adapter to get 10Gbps between two PCs. My switch only has two 10GbE ports, and adding more Ethernet without affecting my USB PCIe card is not an option. When I set up the bridge in Windows Network Manager, it messes up all my network folders on one PC. I think the issue relates to networking settings—Windows seems to only support IPv6 and not IPv4. I don’t have any networking experience. Is this a really tough problem to fix? Thanks!

What operating systems are involved? Which protocols are being used? Windows uses IPv4, but what does that mean in this context?
My PC isn't compatible without swapping out a PCIe card. I'm using an Amazon unmanaged network switch with two 10GB ports and four 2.5GB ports. This setup runs for both computers to avoid overloading the network. The main PC has a USB 5GB Ethernet adapter (USB 3.2 10GB) and I can only use one 5GB port plus two 2.5GB ports to create a 10GB uplink for file sharing. When I check network settings on the main PC, I see IPV4 options but not IPv4 configurations after bridging on the Media PC. I managed to assign a static IP manually based on a Google AI suggestion, and the other PC showed up for streaming, but the file share remained unavailable. I noticed some website access problems during bridging, which might be related to DNS issues. At that time, I used Windows troubleshooting tools and tried real-time configuration to get clearer results.
Avoid setting up bridging connections. View bridging as a toggle—configure it so no IP is assigned to a bridged NIC. Clear all bridges and assign new IPs, then test smb3 multichannel functionality.
