I'm facing difficulties recording my voice in OBS. A gain setting around 30 seems necessary for clear audio. Testing on Sonar, Discord, or the browser works perfectly with no issues. In OBS, Microsoft's Voice Recorder and testers struggle to pick me up. I've tried asking Copilot for help, but it didn't help. The problem has been ongoing for some time, but I'm now focusing on finding a solution. Headphones: SteelSeriesArctis Nova Pro, Windows 10, OBS 31.0.1. Please start with a lower volume and adjust as needed.

Discord handles a lot of processing by default, capturing audio directly from the mic without changes. Adjust your microphone sensitivity in Windows settings if needed. Then, you can adjust further in the application settings. Control panel version: Win11 settings version:

My microphone settings are already at full strength across all Microsoft platforms I checked. OBS is supposed to be using my enhanced Sonar mic, but it defaults to Arctis' standard Pro vanilla mic. It doesn't really matter which one I use—it sounds identical in the software. When testing recordings in sonar apps, everything works perfectly.
