System specs include an AMD Phenom 9750 processor running at 2.4Ghz with 2GB RAM. It uses a random assortment of Kingston memory modules, including 4GB and 2GB DDR2 sticks. The motherboard supports a GA-MA780G-UD3H chipset and a 650W bronze M.S.I. power supply. The system runs on a standard configuration but I'm experimenting with boosting the clock speed to 2.8Ghz by adjusting the host clock control and voltage. However, I'm encountering memory issues and suspect voltage mismatches might be causing problems. My goal is to push the CPU to 3.0Ghz while maintaining a stable 2.0V or slightly higher for RAM. If possible, I'd like to achieve 3.0Ghz with minimal voltage changes. This project is quite interesting!

Unless you have an exceptional memory and one of the best 9750 models, your chances are slim. Those features only added about 400mhz extra speed if you were truly lucky. It looks like you're being generous, but beyond the 2.8ghz boost there won't be much improvement. Sadly, this is where it stops.

It seems the CPU might reach its maximum speed of 3.00GHz, but I keep encountering blue screens. It looks like RAM or another component is restricting performance. If lowering the memory clock helps or adjusting other settings stabilizes things, that could work.

Review the discussions from 2010—3GHz was seen as super lucky. Many passed the BIOS, but few had stable builds except a handful of lucky users.
