During startup, pressing the BIOS key causes the screen to immediately go dark. I own an Acer Aspire X570 Phantom Gaming ITX-TB3 from ASRock. It functions properly except for the BIOS settings. I've tried reinstalling the motherboard, adjusting the battery connection, using the CLR-CMOS switch, installing BIOS updates from an ASRock source, and even replacing the board. Nothing resolved the issue. I'm planning to perform some minor overclocking and would like to keep the TB3 port intact. I don't want to replace the entire system, and my specs include a Ryzen 7 3700X with an RTX 2070, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance, stock speeds, and SSDs from wd-blue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
No problem, but I didn’t include that detail. Did you use the GPU riser cable with your Phanteks shift? Would it make a difference to try booting from onboard graphics?
Check the instructions at the provided website to start from Windows settings. If you prefer, search for 'boot to bios from windows settings' and look for a reliable guide.
It wouldn't hurt. I'd trigger an error, similar to unplugging the CPU fan. That should stop it from exceeding the BIOS limits.
