I attempted to install the delid i7 6700k without using liquid metal. After cleaning the CPU with fresh thermal paste, it still doesn’t boot or produce any beep. It might be a CPU issue.

For clearer visibility, consider a higher-quality image. From the initial shot, it seems the razor blade has slightly damaged the PCB and possibly touched the trace near your thumb area.

Silicon chips won't halt the CPU's operation. The processor is embedded at the base of the circuit board.

I understand, it's hard to judge the extent of the damage. Did you also inspect the bottom of the CPU?

Well it looks like PCB damage. Cut tracings is the culprit. Definitely do not need to use nail polish unless you're using Liquid Metal. Do you have a better camera, your phone is doing a horrible job (no offence) just can't see anything with good detail here.
