Attempted BIOS flash for MSI B550 A Pro on a brand-new PC but encountered issues. What should you do next?
I tried to change the BIOS settings on my motherboard using the BIOS button, but it didn’t work and the system didn’t power on. I have the CPU, GPU, and NVMe installed, everything seems okay. What should I do now? My machine is an MSI B550 Pro. Is there a recovery option available? If not, what steps should I follow for this issue? It was built by me from scratch, and I’m really frustrated. Also, I attempted a BIOS update because it wouldn’t power on, then pressed the BIOS button on the back—it started flashing red. After that, I used a Microcenter 16GB USB drive, formatted it with FAT32, plugged in, followed the prompts, and the red light stopped flashing. Now I’m confused about what to do next.
Consider using a different USB stick. A BIOS flashback was the only solution for fixing a corrupted BIOS. If the device isn’t receiving power, the safest approach is to remove it from power temporarily and then reconnect it.
