Attack on drive bender pool due to ransomware.
Attack on drive bender pool due to ransomware.
80 % to 90 % of my files are now protected by ransomware encryption. The .vvew files are saved on both my main PC (Windows 11) and the drive bender "server" running Windows 10. I’ve kept the system secure with Bitdefender Total Security 2022, and scans show everything appears clean. Most of the data resides in my drive bender pool, totaling around 37 TB, but I only use about 10 TB. I attempted an Emsissoft decryptor version 1.0.0.5, but it’s outdated and didn’t work. If you’re unfamiliar with Drive Bender, visit https://www.drivebender.com/ for details. So far, the only viable solution seems to be removing the drives from the pool and recovering one at a time using R-STUDIO or similar data recovery tools. This could help restore files before encryption. Anyone have experience with data recovery after a virus or ransomware attack? It’s possible to recover original files if you act quickly. Please let me know if this helps!
