Hey everyone, I’m experiencing the opposite of what most people expect with a Thunderbolt dock. When my 2021 MacBook Pro is idle or locked, my dock occasionally restarts power to connected devices like monitors and USB drives—usually for about a minute every so often. The dock comes from OWC, which says this is normal because Thunderbolt maintains an active connection. I’m curious if anyone knows how to stop this from happening. If not, is it safe to assume OWC won’t harm the devices? I’m worried that turning it on briefly every few minutes might affect my monitors negatively. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
