Hey there, I’m checking if it’s feasible to link a SIM card to your laptop using a USB or RJ-45 connection for LTE access. Since your laptop doesn’t have a built-in SIM slot, you’d need an adapter that converts the signal—like a USB to Wi-Fi adapter—to make it work. While there are such adapters available, I haven’t found any during my brief search on Google. Let me know if you want more details!

Using an old phone with a hotspot is possible, but performance may vary.

Additionally, my initial Google search revealed several eBay advertisements featuring 4G LTE dongles and SIM cards connected via USB adapters.

Is your laptop equipped with an LTE antenna? A SIM card receives signals through the air, not via the antenna.

Do you require a device that includes an antenna?

The term you're interested in is LTE DONGLE. These devices aren't inexpensive and might need extra plan features on your account.

At that cost, it’s wiser to purchase an LTE modem instead

The pricing seems off; Amazon offers a more sensible range of $40 to $80 USD. There might also be excellent used options available. Alternatively, we have a deal in our records. I could secure one for under €20.
