I recently purchased an Athlon x4 860k paired with a gigabyte A78M motherboard for $45. I attempted to overclock it but only reached 4.3 GHz. I'm unsure how to adjust the voltage settings. Should I consider a different motherboard with an A88X chipset or continue using this one? I've been interested in this board for some time, but could it improve my overclocking results?

An a88x board could definitely assist with overclocking. At least it offers a superior heatsink for the VRMs. Watch the temperatures on that board. Don't purchase a new board solely to boost the 860k; it seems the 860k doesn't perform as well as the earlier 760k. Many users reach their limits around 4.6 ghz. If your 4.3 ghz is stable, you're already quite close. Gaining an additional 0.3 ghz won't be very beneficial.
