Hey everyone! I recently assembled a budget Netflix and Skype setup and wanted to connect it to my older plasma display. I’m using only the integrated Vega 3 GPU with my Athlon 200GE CPU. I installed Windows on a 1280x1024 monitor without any issues, but then that screen moved to another place. When I tried linking it to the plasma TV via a VGA cable (since that’s the only supported connection), the system reported “Out Of Range.” I suspected the resolution might be too high, so I tested with an older 1024x768 monitor and got results. After installing the WiFi driver (no Ethernet available) and the motherboard chipset driver from my Note9, the display worked once I restarted the system. However, when I tried to connect via WiFi, it failed. I connected my Note9, shared internet through USB, and it worked fine. Then I opened Edge—nothing happened. Edge froze. I set my phone to file sharing, which worked, but when I switched back to Edge, it froze again. After a restart, the display appeared, but no longer showed up. The BIOS isn’t visible, and I’m struggling to connect the TV to my main monitor because it would require too many adjustments. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this? It’s a Prime B450M-K model.
I don't have a specific model name or number for that old monitor. Could you provide more details about it?
I checked it on several low-resolution screens and everyone got the same result. Probably time to sell the PC and go for a classic Intel Optiplex instead.
