Laptop details are listed below, but they shouldn’t be overly critical! Hello everyone! I’m a college student who relies on my laptop for everything. I connect it to a monitor while staying in my dorm. My setup includes an Anker powered USB hub plugged into the laptop’s USB A port, a USB C to DisplayPort cable attached to the USB C slot, and a USB C dongle that uses Ethernet on another USB C port. The dock is fully occupied—10 ports total, 3 dedicated to charging. Not much data-heavy activity is happening through these connections. If you’d like, I can share what ports each one serves for your reference. I’m hoping for a laptop with just one cord for everything, since a barrel plug would be needed for proper charging. My question: how much can fit on a single USB C port? I want a dock that lets me route DisplayPort separately, handle audio, connect Ethernet, and link the Anker hub. Would splitting DisplayPort to its own port solve the problem? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your support. I’m ready to answer any questions you have.
