Hey guys I've had my Asus Z87 Deluxe since December and at the start I used the AiSuite3 Auto overclocking feature (please don't kill me I was just testing it ) and it started causing problems (no surprise right..) so I reset everything but I really miss the silent fan profiles. In the Bios there's a 60% speed lower limit so my fans (120mm Gentle Typhoon, 2x 120mm Gelid Wings, 1x 200mm Bitfenix Spectre Pro) are quite audible. I was wondering if anyone had a solution to this? Will it be alright just to install AiSuite and only use Fan Xpert? I've heard just having it installed has caused many people BSODs

I own the earlier version of your board, the Z77 Deluxe, and have been relying solely on Fan Xpert... I don’t really utilize the other tools in the package, but I really appreciate Fan Xpert’s interface. You’re all set—so far it hasn’t caused any problems.

Did you set up the full package or only the four-way optimization? In your situation, it might have been the three-way.

You have options—either deploy the AI suite and rely on its fan optimization, or manage fans directly via UEFI. The AI Suite for Z87/97 has been redesigned specifically for Z87/97, meaning it won’t work on Z87/97 without a different setup.

Please note that the entire AI system is set up, but I primarily utilize Fan Xpert.

So this is an old post, but im looking for some info on this. I just bought one to replace the h97m-e i was running and apparently the 4 pin headers arent really 4 pin?? the speed isnt an issue, its that im running 4 pin LED fans and when they spin slow, the LED's dim, and fast makes them bright. Is there a work around for this? I dont wanna run a fan controller but i may have to.
