Hello everyone, I wanted to share that some Z690 board users are facing problems with the latest BIOS update 1720. It appears the update affects voltage levels negatively. Additionally, it seems a few individuals had the update forced through Windows Update. I haven’t applied it myself—reading about the issues on the Asus forums made me cautious—but I thought it was worth mentioning for others’ awareness. Check out the discussion here: BIOS v1720 Compulsory Update Mega Thread (asus.com) Thanks.

I haven’t gone through the entire discussion, but it does seem concerning. Many bios updates do reset configurations back to their default settings.

It's really unsettling that this update was released suddenly in WU, even though it's now marked as optional. It causes issues with voltage and temperature settings!
