Last week I changed my GPU from an NVIDIA to an AMD without removing the NVIDIA drivers. I also installed some new custom cables (not extensions) with my PSU. It functioned properly for a while when using the rog cpuz software, which reported needing an update. After clicking OK, the whole system froze. Now I keep seeing the 00 debug code and can't post anything. I've tried clearing the CMOS and removing the battery, but replacing the cables didn't help. Any advice?

Disconnect all devices, refresh the setup, reset the CMOS, and attempt once more.

I7 11700k Asus Strix Z590 is a gaming motherboard. It pairs with the Asus TUF RX 6800X GPU and Corsair HX 750i power supply, all fully water-cooled.

Assuming a custom setup, I'm looking for any leaks. You moved the components before, so check carefully. Consider taking out the graphics card to test if the system boots. Try starting with just one memory stick installed.

The power isn't reaching the connected keyboard or mouse via the motherboard in this setup. The GPU uses a dedicated PSU, and all components are properly water-cooled.

It's not typical. Verify every power cable is securely connected. Start the device by connecting the front panel button to the pins that should short. This helps confirm the switch is functioning properly.

Reset CMOS, use a single RAM stick per slot. In extreme scenarios, CPU or board may not work.

No, you don't clear the CMOS after each stick.
