i upgraded from a asus z270 mark 1 to an asus z170 mark 1 for personal reasons. my corsair dominator platinum 3000mh ram (cmd16gx4mb3000c15) runs at 15-17-17-35 with a 1.35v clock speed from the z270, but it doesn’t seem compatible with the z170. the site lists 2400mhz/2133mhz—how can i adjust it to work? A higher 3200mhz might be possible after a bios update, though i’m not sure.

Just attempt it and you'll notice, boosting performance isn't assured so the wording doesn't matter.

I believe I located the correct setting and changed it to 2400MHz. After that, I updated the BIOS and it automatically adjusted to 2100MHz. At least it seems to work now. However, my OS on the SSD appears to be damaged.
