asus z 170 a boot device led indica un problema con el arranque del sistema.
Hey everyone, just wrapped up my latest setup. All the cables checked out, but my PC isn’t loading properly—only the boot_device_led is showing. Need some advice! Thanks in advance!

The issue starts when the PC boots up. First, the CPU and case fans activate, followed by the graphics card logo lighting up on the case LEDs. Once everything stays active, the ASUS Z170 Pro gaming motherboard cycles through four debug LEDs: the CPU LED turns red and then off after one second (indicating a problem), the DRAM LED does the same, the VGA LES LED switches red and off in the same timeframe, and finally the BOOT DEVICE LED stays illuminated. The screen doesn’t show anything on the connected HDMI display. If we fix it, I’ll send you a Steam gift card! You can see the location of each LED here.
confirm all power connections, ensure the CPU cooler is correctly placed with just a thin layer of thermal paste, reinsert your RAM in slots 2 and 4 if needed, and reset the CMOS before trying again.
The power source you notice on your motherboard relates to the CMOS. Certain boards include a switch either on the main board or on the rear IO panel to reset it, or you can discharge the battery for about 20 seconds to achieve the same effect.
It introduces a whole new set of failure risks if the connection is wrong. I’d start with your stock cables first! Once confirmed, proceed to custom settings so you can rule out other issues. Also, from the image, it seems the 8-pin connector isn’t installed. To check, does the 8-pin plug fit on the board (refer to the picture below)?
