Hi Everyone, We're dealing with an ASUS x570TUF Gaming board that has a 3900x and ASUS 1070 installed. The system runs 16GB of 2400MHz Corsair RAM and boots from a 256GB Samsung M.2 card. There are two 2TB Seagate drives, which were previously used in an i5-6600 setup. Now they're functioning, but the computer sometimes fails to recognize them at startup. It can be a brief glitch—sometimes it works after a reboot, other times we have to restart the whole day. The drives aren't showing up in Windows, and despite updating BIOS, swapping cables, and changing ports, nothing seems to help. Should we consider returning the board or is there a straightforward fix?

They must have appeared when you created the partition, right?

Update the chipset drivers, reset the CMOS. Did you reinstall Windows after switching platforms?

All drivers are current and the system starts properly from the M.2 slot but occasionally fails to recognize the hard drives. When the BIOS doesn't list them, Windows also won't show them. This happens intermittently, not consistently. The drives contain data and become readable once detected in Windows. It's unusual that both drives seem to vanish during startup, rather than just one. If they're detected at boot, they remain visible; if not, they disappear entirely. It's a peculiar behavior.
