ASUS X570-P Prime or MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC offers a sleek design with carbon accents.
For the Ryzen 5 3600, a motherboard with strong VRM is essential for stable performance. Look for models featuring robust power delivery to handle the CPU efficiently.
The prime-P offers a better VRM yet the carbon version has superior features and appearance.
The x570-p features 4 phases with doublers, resulting in 8 power stages each handling up to 50A using SiC639 modules, reaching a peak of 400A. The MSI Carbon AC includes 5 phases with two 4C024N MOSFETs per phase, though these perform less effectively than the SiC639 stages, leaving overall performance similar. Both boards are considered excessive for a 6-core processor. I wouldn’t choose the x570-p mainly because it lacks many features, such as fewer USB ports, basic 5.1 audio, and mediocre heatsinks on the VRMs. The design prioritizes cost reduction, sacrificing advanced components for lower price, making it comparable to a B450 board but with PCI-E 4.0 support for CPU-bound tasks. If you prefer better value, consider B550 motherboards—PCI-E 4.0 will still be available for CPU-related workloads.
With a Ryzen 5 3600 you won’t need to flash the BIOS for the B450 MOMO card.
The system lacks bios flashback functionality, so you'll need to contact the microcenter staff to update the latest bios before departing. Still, what's your budget? That board looks promising—consider searching for b550 boards if you're flexible. You might find the MSI B550M-A Pro at 140$ with a 20$ discount if you get the CPU. Here’s the link: https://www.microcenter.com/product/6250...otherboard. Another option is the MSI B555M Pro vdh wifi at 126$, also with a 20$ CPU discount: https://www.microcenter.com/product/6250...otherboard. It's not suitable for 3900x or 3950x without extra cooling, but it works well for a 3600x and includes plenty of features on IO Shield with wireless support. The downside is the absence of USB 3.0 at 10Gbps—only USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are available.
I needed $125 for my mobile, but the MSI Carbon AC costs $127 that’s why I asked
