I've been exploring components for a brand new PC over the past two weeks. It's going to be my gaming and streaming setup. Everything was chosen until a few people mentioned an issue I already had—my motherboard. (MB) I picked the PRIME X570-P, Asus's budget version of the X570. I was worried about its build quality since you get what you pay for. Eventually, I shared my build in the Steam forums’ hardware section, bringing up my concerns. Someone agreed and recommended the TUF Gaming X570-Plus, highlighting its superior build, better VRM shielding, and improved power phase (12+2). Another user said the X570-P was actually better, pointing out its VRM matches the Maximus XI Hero with an 8+4 power phase. This really confused me. After extensive research, I'm stuck deciding which board is superior. I'm watching videos and reading articles but can't make a clear choice. With just a $15 price gap between them, is the TUF truly better, or do they each have their niche? Is 12+2 worth more than 8+4? Even on the site's big MB list, they're grouped together. I'm struggling to find direct comparisons. Why would I choose one over the other? This is the final piece of the puzzle, so I might be overthinking it. TUF is clearly superior and the best option thanks to the cost advantage. There’s no noticeable gap in build quality since both models come with a three-year warranty. Many features are missing on the X570-P, which becomes evident when comparing the rear I/O 12+2 to the 8+4 setup—unless you’re using a 3950X, any difference will be negligible. In reality, both are 4+2 boards, just with varying component counts in each phase. That’s why the Maximus XI Hero falls short.
