Asus X570-E AMD5900x G.Skill F4-3600 Memory Failure On-Board Diagnostic
I've been assembling this build a week ago. Everything worked smoothly until the first hour in Windows, especially after I enabled DOCP in the BIOS (after installing all updates and drivers). Then I encountered BSODS or crashes due to memory management issues. After analyzing the dumps, it was an A1 crash code each time with different apps. Updating the BIOS to version 3603, setting stock memory speed, it seemed stable. DOCP was turned on and then crashed again within two hours. Memtest86 detected a 25% error, then I removed one bench. After three hours, it passed with no errors and the screen showed a PASS. Restarting to Windows caused continuous crashes again—BIOS reset was done for safety, moving memory slots from A2 to B2. After about six hours, I had no issues. I recently swapped all modded cables for the stock power cables of the PSU and GPU + Mobo. I’ll run Memtest86 again shortly. Any advice or tips you could share would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!
Attempt to activate XMP (DOCP), then adjust DRAM speed to 3200mt/s and verify performance.
Try configuring 3200 without docp active and see if it works. This will allow the board to select the timing.
I performed that action, but after about 10 minutes I experienced a crash. It happens whenever I attempt to log in. I also used DOCP and adjusted the voltages slightly—DOCP 3200Mhz @ 1.36V, then 1.37V, up to 1.39V and 1.40V. The crashes occurred at those settings. I tested 3400Mhz and 3600Mhz with the same voltages. Both errors appeared in Memtest86, and crashes only when running at normal speed. Windows also had issues, but not during stock operation. Could the motherboard be responsible?
It's the memory kit that's causing issues. The board and CPU aren't compatible with it.
Looking for suggestions? I’m considering the QLV list but aren’t sure which model fits best. An RGB setup would be great given the project’s theme.
I received the following kits, but some are listed on the QVL and others aren't. Are these suitable for your setup? Models include G.Skill Trident Z RGB F4-3600C16Q-32GTZR, G.Skill Trident Z RGB F4-3200C16Q-32GTZRX, G.Skill Trident Z RGB F4-3600C18Q-32GTZN, XPG Spectrix D60G AX4U3200316G16-DT60. Will any of these work with your Ryzen 5900x and Asus Strix X570-E Gaming board?
