ASUS X550ZE dual graphics issue is unresolved (urgent assistance required)
Hello, I understand your situation with the ASUS X550ZE. It has dual graphics but they aren't functioning properly. You're using an AMD FX-7600P with Radeon R7 integrated and an AMD Radeon R5 M230 discrete card. The issue is that the RXM230 isn't being recognized, even though it's detected. Games like Valorant, CS:GO, and Minecraft are struggling to run smoothly or at all. I've checked everything—updated BIOS, forums, drivers—but nothing seems to help. You're frustrated because the problem persists and it feels like the issue might be with AMD or your setup. I'm here to help you find a solution or at least offer some guidance.
Your 7600P seems to share the same driver as your 7600P, but AMD doesn't offer it. It's considered an "OEM custom" since the laptop crossfire wasn't very reliable and received poor support. Version 15.7.1 might be the best option, though there are no assurances. Those two samples were from me... https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compa...3238vs3228
okay so i just downloaded the latest AMD catalyst which you mentioned and minutes after the installation i got a BSOD. Pretty sure theres no fix to this now and i have to suffer only having to use 1 bad apple instead of using 2 bad apples to make 1 good thing. Thanks for the help tho!
In your situation, I recommend running DDU first, then retrieving the catalyst driver via the MS basic display driver. It might not be the most seamless process, but it should function in theory. I’ll also advise you to back up your important data right away if you notice frequent BSODs with that APU, since you only have a few hours left before the system crashes and your drive gets severely damaged.
