ASUS x370-F qLED DRAM troubleshooting guide
Hey everyone, so last night my motherboard suddenly stopped working with the DRAM in my system. My current setup is a Ryzen 5 1600, Asus ROG STRIX X370-F, with an Asus ROG STRIX 1080ti OC 500GB WD Black NVME SSD. The PC will log in and possibly show up on the desktop screen, but the display goes black and both the keyboard and mouse stop responding. The QLED backlight stays yellow for a moment before flashing back to normal. I've tried removing half of the RAM and replacing it entirely, but nothing seems to help. The only way to get by is to boot into safe mode. I've updated my BIOS and uninstalled some Windows updates, and even tried running RAM at 2133MHz in hopes of saving it. Any tips or fixes would be greatly appreciated!
Do you have an internal speaker connected? The beep codes it provides can help narrow things down. It might indicate a motherboard issue, while the RAM sounds seem unlikely given your troubleshooting efforts.
