Asus X-99A 3.1 issue bF code troubleshooting guide available.
So I encountered a problem with my code recently. Most people who have tried similar issues don’t seem to find reliable solutions online. This discussion aims to assist you. (This is my first attempt at solving something like this, so let me know if I’m off the mark!) What exactly is the code? It appears there’s a memory-related issue that might prevent the computer from booting or accessing BIOS settings. (In my case, it was the BIOS). Troubleshooting steps suggested include checking each RAM stick in the motherboard slots, removing the CMOS battery for over 10 minutes before replacing it. This should reset the BIOS settings and possibly resolve the problem. Try using a USB to flash a new BIOS if needed. Make sure your power connections are secure. Possible fixes mentioned: BIOS stuck in an infinite loop, computer won’t boot, everything functions but no display, or hardware failures like a corrupted chip, failing memory controller, or a damaged motherboard. If you can’t fix it with the CMOS trick or the BIOS chip, consider returning the board for replacement before spending money on parts unless you have access to working test equipment. What actually worked for me was swapping the BIOS chips on a different motherboard (same model) and resetting it. It worked—my system booted successfully. If anyone finds a solution or shares their experience, feel free to post it here. I’m really glad you reached out after investing so much time. Thank you!
