I noticed you're connecting a pigtailed PCIe cable to both GPU power ports. That's not recommended. I think someone else mentioned the same problem with a 3070 recently. If you only have pigtailed PCIe cables, use two of them. Just avoid using the second power plug—it can only handle 250 watts, while your PSU cable can supply up to 300 watts. To reach 300 watts, you'll need two cables.

I found it hard to believe you managed to share it.

GPU receives power from both PCIe slot and PSU. Up to 75W capacity is supported. I use a single pigtailed cable for the 3070 and it works perfectly without any problems. The card operates normally with around 260W draw. As long as the PSU is reputable, staying under 300W should be fine with a standard cable.

powerdraw changes between cards. If you face issues with a pigtail, test with two cables. Otherwise, it might not matter.

Hey everyone, thanks for your tips. I attempted to start it using two separate PCI-E cables from the PSU, but it still wouldn't boot. I ended up returning both the GPU and the motherboard because the inconsistent startup was a big concern. After switching to a new motherboard and using the same GPU models, it worked perfectly on the first try. Appreciate all the help! P.S. Exercise extra caution when purchasing parts from Amazon, even from official sellers.
