ASUS TUF X570 Plus Wi-Fi chipset doesn't support syncing VIPER Steel DDR4 RAM at speeds over 3600MHz.
Hello, I own a fresh PC setup featuring an ASUS TUF X570 Plus with Wi-Fi 4 and 4DIMM RAM. It includes a Patriot Viper Steel PVS464G360C8K 3600MHz RAM module with 128GB of DDR4 memory and a Ryzen 9 3900X processor. I’m having trouble syncing the RAM to reach 3600MHz, even after using a DRAM calculator. The timings listed aren’t working. Could you assist?
Both kits were merged, which is normal. Got it—ready to adjust voltages and timings by hand.
Many thanks for the replies @ShrimpBrime and @Jurrunio HERE MY SETUP IN BIOS tcl=18 trcd=22 trp=22 tRAS=42 trc=83 cmd2t (command rate)=1T dram voltage=1.34 soc voltage=1.1 ccd voltage=1.050 iod voltage=1.050 vddp voltage=1.050 With these settings i can boot to windows but i'm facing other problems like corrupt downloads, cannot reboot etc @ShrimpBrime can you tell me why memory controller cannot handle 128gb at 3600?
Usually due to the abundance of ICs, overclocking is commonly performed on 2x8GB configurations. Single stick binning exists and is practiced by some enthusiasts. Given the high memory capacity, stability seems to be the main priority rather than noticeable performance improvements beyond a few percent. Do you think this machine is primarily used for demanding tasks?
Achieved synchronization at 3533 MHz by adjusting the DRAM voltage to 1.29. The result appears stable following various tests.
