Hello, I’m not sure why MSI lacks Thunderbolt ports on the Z690 Unify-X. But they do offer a TBT3 header (14-1) on the board. The only Thunderbolt card I’ve seen with that setup is the Asus ThunderboltEX4.

Your questions:
- Will the Asus ThunderboltEX4 fit the MSI motherboard? Yes, because both use the same 14-1 pin configuration.
- Has anyone used it on a non-Asus board? Yes, there are reports of similar cards working elsewhere.
- If it works: since it’s a Thunderbolt4 card with TBT3, it should only support Thunderbolt 3.
